The recipes are both interesting and easy to PREPARE - however, I was a little put off by the AMOUNT of ingredients per rec. and their general obscurity. Were I a decade older and abiding in my home, and running my own kitchen - I might feel different. My case, though, is that the average early twenty yr old college student does'nt keep such ingredients (especially at their hefty costs) in the (co-habited) cupboard.
For that reason - this book was at it's most value to me as an exploration of specific nutritional values of the super-foods Swanson is discussing. They include the usual fare - veggies, fruits, grains, nuts, fats, w/emphasis on the veg and fruits.
