Dave Barry is crazy and has Pulitzer prize to prove.  One day I was reading one of his books at the doctor's office, laughing my head off. The woman next to me must have had no funny bone or else she thought I was crazy because she got up and sat in another chair as far away from me as she could get.

A NOVEL by Dave Barry, (Not a c ollection of his newpaper columns or joke books) Very funny stuff.  The voice he manages to capture in his writing is hilarious!

I know it's satire, but I can't help but get the feeling that Dave Barry is simply giving a blow-by-blow account of one of those vulgar comedy of errors movies. The first few pages were hilarious, but the rest of it just downright silly. As a piece of satire, it doesn't offer any new insights really.
