This book was really great, it rewaorded all the Norse Mythology I knew in an interesting way and also taught mw some too.

This was the other book I read all the time as a kid. Utterly awesome and a great introduction for children to world mythology. I think that I like this one a little bit better than the Greek myths version - but that's simply based on the stories. Nordic stories are more fantastic and have a sense of forboding - no matter what the story is about.

I read this to my Daughter and it's every bit as magical as I remember it when I was a young child. The illustrations alone make this book a must have

An all around great book for children and adults alike.  I can't remember how many times I read through this book and its Greek counterpart.  The stories are timeless and the art work is simple, clean and interesting.  These books should be essential parts of any child's education.  I would especially suggest the Norse book as its stories are not as familiar to North Americans, and, if...more

I would especially suggest the Norse book as its stories are not as familiar to North Americans, and, if I dare say, far more intriguing than the Greek ones (which is not to slight Greek myth!).   hide
