Peaceful, inspiring and revolutionary at the same time. It not only questions how you eat and what you eat but how you live also, without preaching. Essential reading for those interested in natural food.

Great book and inspiration to improve the earth by following the patterns in nature. The natural farming methods he proposes 30 years ago are currently highly valued. The prose is beautiful and his story interesting. Must reading.

Love it. Reminded me of how genius great spirit is, and how balanced things are without the messing abouts of humans. I hope to slowly clean up my messes and let myself be orchestrated into this great balance and harmony of life~

Fukuoka's method of "do nothing" farming is only a tool to teach Zen. Its an excellent book if you're even mildly interested in the details of growing food but its a treasure if you're interested in philosophy or science. "Just to live here and now--this is the true basis of human life"
