more I have to say that this is not a favorite of mine. I didn't find any of the characters people I wanted to spend time with, which is unusual with Austen's writing. I just didn't care what happened to any of them and I don't like stories like that, you want to care some about the people you spending time with in a book. To me, Fanny Price is a simpering child, who does have powerful observational skills for those around her, but is such a spineless little girl (even though she is grown) you quickly grow annoyed with her.
