more This book was confusing at first and gave me a sense of wrongness. It was intriguing, yet also horribly irritating. When i finally got far enough through the book to start following what was going, it greatly improved. i'm not sure if it would have helped to read other books by this author first, the Mr. Dekker himself states that these books are written in a circular fashion. He actually suggests reading the third book of this series first, and then the second. i haven't yet read the third one, so i'm not sure if it would make things easier or not. In any case, this book did work well as the first in the series, at least in regards to the second. i think it's integral for a better understanding of the second book.
