I liked his designs better for Final Fantasy X than here, as the humans tend to look less like thin aliens and more like humans with weird eyes, but there's no denying that his artwork is always gorgeous. I'm no artist nor art critic but this is a book I'd like to own. Genji is something that today's women tend to alternately giggle and be outraged at, but we can't fault Murasaki for changes in men she couldn't foresee, or Amano for distilling the story down to what it was: a guy who really dug women and tried to help them when he could.
