This is a good read but you need a english teacher close by to understand it.

The Horror!!!!! great book

It was only 150 pages but I still can't believe I stuck through it. Watch Apocalypse Now and spare yourself the boredom.

this novelette is a classic for good reason. evokes strong images throughout the narrative. love it.

really liked this book the second time around, it one you need to read more then once to really apreciate

Found it alternating between mostly boring, occasionally good and sometimes wtf !! Overrated. It was a rant against imperialism but he does not really make an effort to understand the people he's trying to "save".

I was assigned this book in college, and my memory is that I didn't care for it very much. I must have been busy and only read every other word. This is a great book. The ending gets just a little too disjointed, but that's part of the story. The build up to the meeting with Kurtz is fantastic.
