Great book, well 3 great books actually. It took me a while to read because I'd set it aside to read other books, but I finally finished it tonight. The ending felt totally rushed and left me wanting. However, Dan Abnett did an excellent job weaving a tale about duty, honor, sacrifice, temptation, and near-damnation. He conveys the dark and depressing future of the Warhammer 40K universe excellently, and weaved together the sci-fi, fantasy, and horror genres the setting encompasses very well. I doubt I read this again, but I will certainly read more of Abnett's Warhammer 40K work.   hide

an absolute classic, one of the best books ive read from BL

Easily one of the greatest Warhammer series ever written, and up there for great scifi books in general. Eisenhorn combines mystery, action, politics, and ethics into one great thought provoking look into the Inquisition and what it means to be good or evil.
