Garviel Loken is one of the best characters from any book or movie I have known. I have been a fan of 40K for nearly two decades, and never really thought there was anything special about the Astartes. After reading this, I immediately set about collecting a Space Marine army. Abnett takes the Astartes to a whole new level, the brotherhood between the warriors will appeal to any man... Thanks Dan!!   hide

Really not bad. Very slow start up, but there's no rush.

Awe inspiring, jaw dropping, non-stop action from page 1. I loved this book and got me into reading 40K fiction. Damn you Dan Abnett for being so cursed talented. I so wish I had your talent for writing.
