I've read hundreds of books and series and this series in particular is in my top 10 series. There are several authors and what I find fascinating is that this has and continues to be a very intricately written collaboration. If you like the 40k Universe. Book 2 of the Horus Heresy. Another brilliantly written tale by Graham McNeill.

I'm more and more impressed by 'Horus Heresy' books, perhaps because I've expected a basic 'hack&slash' storyline and instead I'm being presented with well-concieved and grand tale that actually has certain depth. It's been a long time since the last occasion I could say this, but I'm really looking forward to finishing this trilogy.

near the end of this book. the nightmare is starting to come true. brillant!!!
