While this book promises something of an epic story, as it is about the liberation of Gereon (the Chaos-held world that Gaunt and his men had been stranded on for years), it doesn't quite manage to deliver. The combat is pretty good, if a bit more chaotic than usual, and the newly introduced characters pale next to the original ones.
