Very disturbing. Don't read this if you don't want to think about it for the rest of your life. Oedipus is born to his mother who is warned before he is born that bad stuff is going to happend so instead of killing him like she is supposed to she leaves him in the wild where he is found and saved, of course, and then all of the bad stuff happens, in the end, he pokes his own eyes out with a pin and after he looses his physical sight he gains a "deeper" sight and has to live with that. For a guy who wrote this that didn't have electricity or modern medicine this in incredibly deep thinking and every bit as true today as the day it was written. CLASSIC!   hide
