SO apparently because of Smeyers success I must concede that she's good? That's not how it works. It would be no issue if she were, you know, any good. She's a terrible writer. Her prose is laughable. Her thinly veiled ideological views are glaringly obvious. Her characters have no depth, and are about as interesting as a piece of cardboard. How half of the amateurishly written sentences in those books ever got past editing is beyond me. I will say this, she is smart. She wrote books (whether it was her intention or not) perfectly suited for 12 year old girls who gobbled that shit right up. Emo undertones throughout every page? Check. Angsty female lead? Check. Faggy "cute" emo vampire who sparkles, falls in love and is a vegan to boot? Check. True genius that is to be commended Glorified fanfiction. that is all.   hide
