Pretty cool legal thriller actually: the italian legal system might not be as cool as the anglosaxon one, but the thing I really appreciated about this book was not the search for truth, but the search of the concept known as legal truth. Which is beyond good and evil, truth and lie, murderer and victim.It shows the complexity of reality, that sometimes can't be fully understood and therefore can't be judged. It takes a couple of days to finish, so I guess is a perfect book for a vacation.   hide

He has his own personal conflicts, but without the didactism and predictability of other novels with this plot line, you are able to root for him and his client, and feel deeply in a way that isn't tear jerking.
