I never paid much attention to the Ring hoopla because I thought that it was just another horror story. But like most things its more complex and nuanced than you would expect. I am glad I read it. It did expand my horizons although the pseudo science was a bit difficult to swallow. The contention that in order to evolve you must know what you want first is logical. And the corollary that if you have not experienced something then how do you know that is what you want. But I don't do these ideas any justice. You have to read the book.   hide
