A well written thriller, and the reader has the added bonus of being immersed in the fascinating city of Marseilles

A very intrguing noir, quick and well balanced. A not so lucky man achieves its revenge taking care of the memory of two friends that have been killed by some criminals. At the very end he will have a wonderful reward.

The detective story is the least of it.  Loved the scenes of Marseilles--makes me want to go back--and the food, wine, jazz references.

The first encounter with Fabio Montale and Marseille... Keep a bottle of French rosÃ¨ in the fridge while you read it. Better if you get one from Cassis.
