This is the second episode from the trilogy composed by "Total Khéops", "Chourmo" and "Soléa" so I'd recommend you to read the first episode first. The Marseilles Trilogy by Jean Claude Izzo are definitely the best books I have read this year. It's not often that I might admit that a novel might move me to tears, that's the fact with this one.
