i feel 'awkward'. read the book. it's short. and whatever the opposite of 'pretentious' is. maybe tao lin is too much of a realist for people who need to be watched 'reading'.

Story of a writer named Sam. Book cover the span of roughly 2 years of his mundane life and how he can't seem to commit to women. Or much of anything for that matters. Organic vegan food snob with a habit of shoplifting trivial items and getting caught. Very short book, read the entire thing at Barnes and Noble. Book was average/poor, but it did set a nice mood.

I like Tao Lin's work, but this is neither very charming, nor remotely interesting. if you take out the brand names the book collapses. too bad.
