This is my favorite Stephen King novel, for a number of reasons. One, it's classic King, and definately reflects his unique style of writing. Two, it's a great story with plenty of "horror" novel characteristics to keep readers interested. Three, it's about a car who has an evil mind of her own!! Christine is a 1958 Plymouth Fury, who snags men in particular and causes them to act recklessly and turn on the people they love. Arnie Cunningham, the nerdy high school boy who falls in love with Christine after she has been junked for several years, changes into a heartless ass because he loves Christine above anything else, and will do anything to defend her honor. Christine is definately worth the read, and is also a movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat.    hide

Though not overly scary, it's still an excellent book by Stephen King. It captures the characters well in the whole story and very well detailed as to locations, the people, and what their thoughts are. The pacing is set well and it's one of those books that are hard to put down and have to find out what happens on the next page. Watched the film 1st which is often the best way as they don't often live up 2 the book and this is an example. Excellant book well written and the references to songs for each chapter brought it abit more to life for me. Rock 'n' roll
