has a lot of interesting theories but not a great story. its like a lot of information found online wrapped up in an ok story. i wouldnt call myself very well read yet i guessed the ending, and it was before the film came out and built up all the hype. i would recommend because i love conspiracy theories but i wouldnt call it a novel.

awful. this book made me doubt the collective intelligence of the majority of the american public. I hate this book. It is poorly written, has absolutely no character or plot development, wasn't intellectually challenging, and the author completely wimped out at the end of the story. This book is so bad that I won't assign it any stars. I think that I wouldn't hate it as much if it hadn't sold so...more

Reads like a thriller, don't know what all the fuss was about. That history might not be what it looks like? Anyone who has ever read something other than thrillers once in a while will have an idea of the "shattering truths" that everyone was babbling about when this book was released. It had its funny moments which is a relief compared to other sensations (aka Meyeresque bull) & truth be told,...more

I read this book because how popular it was and because my husband was in the hospital and I literally had nothing to do when I was there with him. He was asleep most of the time. I read this in about 2 days (which is fast for me) and it was what I call a real page-turner! I don't think I can say that about any other book I've ever read, even the ones I really like. Most...more

Badly written, plagiarised drivel. The plot was at least interesting even though derivative but written in such a way that I had to double check if it wasn't a high school essay. Awful writing and I gave him another couple of chances with Digital Fortress and Deception point and he didn't disappoint. They too were appallingly badly written!

No Stars!! Poorly written, Dan Brown is in desperate need of an editor. This book has plot holes, poor character building, and because of his lack of explanation of reasoning I found it hard to suspend disbelief through the premise. Also I would have given this book one star for originality however there was a book written by Katherine Neville called 'The Eight' that has a similar premise...more

Bought the book as needed to read something on a flight. This book was number one best seller so I bought it. Easy to read, simple to turn pages, and flowed well. And the story was something to reckon with. Never knew so much about Christian theology and how it affects most of the world. Through Dan Brown's efforts I saw how religion can be interesting, and most likely factual.
