1. Technical Lead:
weRead is looking for an experienced hands-on technical leader to oversee the development and architecture of weRead.com and the weRead app on all the major social networks.
Responsibilities
- Write maintainable, unit-tested code in Python, PHP and Java
- Develop object-oriented models and design data structures for new software projects
- Implement business logic and data models with suitable class design
- Mentor junior engineers on software design, coding practices, and TDD strategies
- Assign and track tasks for your team
- Work with designers, business analysts, and product managers to estimate and plan projects in an Agile development framework
- Work on a cross-functional team, collaborating with peers on all elements of the development process
- Document work with appropriate technical documentation
Qualifications
- Strong object oriented design skills, knowledge of design patterns, and an uncanny ability to design intuitive module and class-level interfaces
- Experience leading multi-engineer projects and mentoring junior engineers
- Experience with full life cycle development in Python, PHP, and/or Java on a Linux platform
- Knowledge of Agile software methodologies (XP, Scrum)
- Understanding of database-driven Web application design, relational databases, and SQL
- B Tech in Computer Science or equivalent required
- Minimum 7 years experience. At least 3 years in a highly-scalable web environment
