No joke, my parents read the Korean version and wanted to name me after the character, hoping I would turn out like her: independent and whatnot. But like most Asian parents, they became disappointed, lol.

I'm not named after a book, but someday I hope to name a child "Scout" from To Kill a Mockingbird.

I loved the movie Jane Eyre with Joan Fontaine and Orson Welles. Just bought the book yesterday and hope to start it soon.

I wasn't named after a character from a book, unfortunately. That would be cool.

I called my son Bastian after Bastian Balthasar Bux, the main character of Michael Ende's "Neverending Story". My other favourite book was "Die rote Zora", so if I ever have a girl I should call her Zora. ;-) Bastian is favouring Michel for a brother... after the books by Astrid Lindgren. (It's "Emil" in English)... We shall see... ;-)

Everyone always wonders where you find a name like Abra, but I was named after John Steinbeck's East Of Eden. And I like the name, especially since I write fantasy novels ha ha. Kind of fits Abracadabra...

I was named Winter after the main character in a novel called "Shadow of the Moon" by M.M. Kaye. I have yet to read it, but my mom said she is a strong character who overcame a lot in her life. I know the latter part to be true!
