Hi,

I really loved this book. I would love to read another love story which can touch me as much as this one did. Any recommendations?

Twilight only if you're into love as seen through a teenagers eyes, with it's , unrealistic expectations, 'perfect' qualities, imbalance of control/power, and love at first sight themes.

The Kushiel's Legacy series by Jacqueline Carey has very good love stories in it and is my favourite series overall if you're mature enough to handle the themes. The Swan Maiden by Jules Watson was a nice adaptation of an Irish legend and is good if you can follow the narrative which is fairly descriptive at times.

Beneath a Marble Sky--an historical fiction surrounding the building of the Taj Mahal. It's got lots of great stuff in it--sibling rivalry, love, architecture, intrigue, etc., etc.

I never read the book, but the movie was great. Anytime I see it listed on cable I watch it. I think it was one of the greatest love stories besides Gone with the Wind.

The Time Traveler's Wife or Memoires of a Geisha are both WONDERFUL love stories (without being sappy). I agree with some of the comments about the Twilight series...good love story for the much younger set (teenagers).

Nicholas Sparks has written some really good love stories like Message in a bottle, The Notebook, etc. or if you want to read a Classic, I would recommend Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin.
