I like the book.
Movie was not upto expectations.. Edward and Bella in the movie are not even close to what Stephenie Meyer has shown in the book.

Def has to be the book. The acting was appalling in the film and did not explore the characters anywhere near as much as it needed to. No contest for me - the book wins.

I have not seen the movie yet. In fact I just got it from Blockbuster yesterday and plan on watching it this evening, but in my experience, the book is always better than the movie.

Book deff. The movies leave things missing. well, they kinda have to or else the movie would be 4 hours long, but still books.

I always choose books over films, but there are a few films that have the ability to deliver. The film could've been portrayed to a better degree. Kristen Stewart has better acting abilities but somehow seemed to have held back her full potential. The director seemed to have skimmed over the key parts that make the story passionate and empowering. The music was enjoyable, but it seemed to be the only element of the film that worked well. I was saddened to see that the director had more than enough to work with and yet still failed to make it a worthy piece of work. As much as I realize that books always surpass films, there is potential to make a film, based off a novel or story, great.

I may be the only one that says "the movie". Because I didn't read the book. I watched the movie on a trans-atlantic flight.
