Did I miss something, or all of a sudden, does Martha become a non-entity in this book? It is stated that she is a house-cleaner for Jack and never marries, but then the orphan monk Jonathan discovers who his parents are, and you would think, that Martha, being his full-blood sister, his only living relative, would've entered into the story. Any thougths???

You know what that crossed my mind too. I'm like, should Jonathan not have met his real sister.
Did Ken F. goof up on this one? It was rather strange that this obvious fact was overlooked.
