a friend has leant me this book to read, but reading the back page it sounds very much like a copy of twilight, which has kind of put me off wanting to read this, as i absolutely love the twilight books, please can anyone who has read this book tell me if its worth it.

I read them about 3 years ago and they are nothing like Twilight apart from the fact the main character falls for a vampire, they are I think aimed at the younger audience but I was 35 ish when I read the series and I could not get enough of them, they are a bit more violent and have a lot more sex in them than the Twilight series. Give it a go, you may be surprised. Hope this helps x

These books are so different from twilight, and it isn't just about vampires there is a lot more to the true blood books then that. Also the girl in true blood would put bella to shame as far as being a strong woman. You really should give it a shot. I have read Twilight and I am a big fan but, true blood is a lot more for mature audiences. Hope this helps. However, there will never be a vampire romance as good as twilight, true blood is a good story though.

Thankyou for your comments, I might just give it a go, if I don't read it then I won't know if it's any good! Lol, see I loved twilight not for the strong women, or the blood and lust of vampires it was a love story and that's what kept me gripped was hoping for a happy ending:-)

You are welcome, I hope you do enjoy them, they are a really good series, kind of a supernatural, murder mystery/whodunnit book. I love Twilight too and I sometimes feel ashamed to admit it at my age, lol. But as you say it was just a wonderful love story, took me ages to read another book after finishing them I just could not get into a new book, so I read the whole series again!

ive read the whole series they were so addictive. i cant wait till the new one come out soon.
