A: The only difference is the name! The application BooksiRead is just the old name for the application on social networking sites - all the features and function of the old name are part of weRead and weread.com.

A: Over the next 8-12 weeks you will see many features that will answer this better. For example, we will put your friend's ratings, reviews, books, and recommendations first.

A: Lulu is leading an exciting revolution to empower independent authors to help them create/publish/sell their books. WeRead will now have access to all the books that Lulu has. Lulu authors will be able to use the author's corner to help connect with readers and take their feedback as they write books. We believe that this partnership will further the cause of weRead - the social discovery of books - as we will now have access to a larger catalog and independent authors.

A: No, it will not change any of the bookshelf features, independence of search, reviews, ratings, recommendations and other features that you have come to love. What this alliance means is that you will have access to over 600,000 indie-published books and thousands of independent authors.

A: Search for any book and then go to the options on the right side of the page. You will see four buttons for every book - "Reading It", "Read It", "Wanna read", "Won't Read". Click the button that best describes your relationship with the book. Once you click the button, the book will be automatically added to your weRead list. You can then rate the book, write a review, mark as favorite, and tell your friends that you own it.

A: Once you add a book, the buttons should change to a canvas which suggests your status along with an option to check mark "Is my favorite" or "I own a copy". You should be able to just click on those check boxes to indicate Is a favorite/I own.

If you wish to change the status of a book then you can just go "My Reads". Locate the book (using sorts) that you wish to change the status of. Once you have found the book you should see the same canvas page. You can now check/uncheck the boxes or even change your reading status.

A: If you see a book in your My Reads or Search, weRead shows you a list of friends that have added that book and also shows you their average rating. You can also click on the "Friend's Reads" tab on your weRead page. Once you do that, you're given two options to look at your Friend's Reads. You can choose to Browse by Friends or Browse by Books.

A: We do not currently show reviews next to the search atom of the book. However, you can see all of your reviews if you go to My Reads and then Reviews link. We will increase the visibility of reviews soon.

A: Search for the book that you wish to read reviews for. Once you find your book click on the reviews button and start reading the reviews!

A: Click on the "All reads" link on the weRead home page. This populates a list of Everyone's Reads. You can use the sort button on the top right of the page to sort the books to your liking.

A: Click on the "My Reads" tab on your weRead page and you will see a "Sort" button on the right side of the page along with a dropdown for you to choose how you wish to sort your books. The dropdown has these options - "Recently added first", "Recently added last", "Title A-Z", "Title Z-A", "Highest rated first" and "Lowest rated first". Click on the option that you would like and hit sort. Your books get sorted to your choice immediately.

A: We can only import wish lists from Amazon's US site, Amazon.com We are working to expand this option to other Amazon sites.

Sometimes Amazon does not return anything, even if your ID is valid. You can also try entering the URL (Web address) of your wish-list in the "Import your books" --> "Get ISBNs from a webpage". Your wishlist will come in multiple pages and you will have to give each page separately.

A: Not at this time, but we are working on making this possible.

A: Click on the "My Reads" tab on your weRead page. Find the book that you want to remove. (You can use the sort button on the same page to find the book'). Once you have found the book that you want to remove from your weRead list, click on the delete button on the right. Click on it and confirm. Your book will be deleted from the weRead list.

A: To add a book, go to the "More" tab and click on "Add to Catalog" You will be asked to provide Title, Author, ISBN number, Description and Image location. Enter all the details and click "Submit". The added book should show up on the same screen with the options to add to your bookshelf

A: Unfortunately not. We do not allow people to edit the books they have added because someone else may have added the same book, and then their information will also get changed. We are working to find a better solution for this experience.

A: We are working on this - when you add a book it does not become part of the database we use to search for books.  So it is there, but not searchable.

A: Not this time. We are working on a feature that will allow you to take your book list with you wherever you go.

A: There are three possible reasons:

• You have not added books to weRead. Add books and rate them so that we can learn about your reading tastes and provide recommendations to you.
• You have only recently added books. Check back after 48 hours for our system to catch up with your reading tastes and provide you with recommendations.
• We have run out of high quality recommendations for you. Check back in a week so that our system can create new recommendations for you.

A: We look at your weRead shelf to see what you have read and rated, learn from what you like, and use that to give you recommendations. Help us to give you better recommendations by adding books you have read and rate them. Click here to easily rate the books on your shelf.

A: You can "Chuck a Book" to recommend a book to your friends on weRead. Just click on the blue "Chuck this book at friends" link under the book you want to recommend. You can choose to "Add a personalized note" as well.

A: Quick Rate is an easy way to rate and review a book and compare your ratings with your friends. We have found it to be a cool way to discover new books. weRead carefully chooses books for you based on your reading tastes and presents it to one at a time. Once you have rated a book you can see how your ratings compare with your friends. Give it a try - go to the "More" tab and click on Quick Rate.

A: If you sign up on weread.com and go to your profile, there is a link under your information on the left to "Click here to register as an author". This automatically searches for your author page, and if one is returned for you, when you claim the page it will allow you to update your page and information. We are adding hundreds of thousands of authors soon. If you are not there now, you can create a page or wait for the update and see if you are among the authors we add.

We are also working to expand the functionality of author pages so that you have even more features on weRead to reach more readers. We will have more details on this for you soon.

A: We link to various retailers online so you can purchase books, and we have many books available to browse through HarperCollins, and many that are free to read through The Gutenberg project and Google.  To find these e-readable books, you can go to "More" and then "Read now".

A: Readers create the quizzes on weRead. To create your own quiz, click on the "Quiz" link on your weRead home page. You will see a link to add a question to an existing quiz or add a new quiz altogether. Once you add a quiz you can see how many people have taken it and how they scored.

A: If you email us (help@weread.com) the question, the wrong answer and the correct answer we can try to correct it here in the database. We are working on a feature for users to be able to correct their own questions. You can always access your quizzes by going to Quiz --> My Quizzes.

A: To send a message, click on the "Friend's Reads" tab on the weRead home page. Once you do, find the friend to whom you want to send a message and click on their bookshelf link. You will see a textbox on their bookshelf that will let you leave wall messages.
