loved the book...loved the movie more because i loved the book...very few books are translated into movies without the overpowering effects of the director...the namesake is one such book that could not be overpowered by very simplicity of the original story...

a collection of short stories that eventually grows on you..not striking at first...the theme of american born indian children from first generation immigrant parents continues here but grows little stale here.. the third part that follows the story of two lovers is a poignant piece written that vibrates something in your heart and then leaves it hollow... |

amazing book...read to find why its so famous..a story of loss of faith and search for it...conspiracies and birth of innocence from it..and loss of it...wonderfully written...read it at its own pace..when you want to let someone tell you a good story and feel it as a way of amusement and wonder...
