This book is intelligent, illuminating and compassionately written. If we want to protect our kids, we have to wake up to those threats that are so insidious and keep us in ignorance by their nature. A nice balance between the truth from an imprisoned pedophile and a dr./therapist who was also sexually abused as a child. Very brave, very unique book. It's a must-read for any father who honors his protective role and any mother who honors hers; and/or anyone who really love kids.

Read this years ago, found out recently that it was written as an anti-drug piece of propaganda and that it was made up completely. I forget the source on that info however, so you may want to check it out for yourself. Interesting anyway when I was young.

It's REALLY funny. ~ Seth (my 9 year old son) who has read this book through at LEAST 10 times and STILL laughs out loud. And repeats the comics to me. Over and over again.

I love this book. There are certain things that may not be exactly accurate since they were written many years after the fact, but I have found in my life that you really get to know someone in a different way when you hear their mother's story. What a deeper love I developed for Joseph Smith, his family and the [LDS] Church after reading this.
