I'm a huge fan of Hooper's psychic crime novels. This? A complete waste of time. I believe she started in this genre and to read something like this makes me very happy that she's evolved. This is such a step back. Uninteresting, shallow, underdeveloped characters. Silly, unrealistic premise. No investment in the story line or the characters. Yes, I finished it primarily because it was an easy read and I don't like to not finish a book...but for my $8 I would have rather gone to the movies.

I think her first two books were better, but this was still very entertaining! Laughed out loud many times while I was reading it, even when I started it @ B&N on Friday night!

I was completely pulled in through the first half of the book. Then it got slow and ended in a very anti-climatic fashion.

A quick easy read. Short chapters seem to keep the action/story moving at a quick pace (no "slow parts"). Never read a J.P. book before & may check out some others now.

2nd in the series; I enjoyed it as much as the 1st. It picks up pretty much where the 1st left off, but focuses on different characters. I read the preview for the next book and it seems to jump ahead a few years so I'm anxious to read it and see how differently it develops.

I haven't read this author before and started to pick up the 3rd book of this series on a whim. Fortunately, I noticed that and started with the first. Some interesting characters; when you find yourself wanting to yell out loud at them while you are reading, I think that's a good sign! :) A good summer/poolside read.

Another book that took me a bit to get into. I found it moving in several areas, however, I must say this is one of those rare instances where I felt the movie was actually better than the book.

Not normally a sci-fi reader & it took me a bit to get into this, but all told I found it very interesting.

While I always enjoy reading VC Andrews, nothing beats the quality of this series. There are few books I can ever even consider going back to re-read....these definitely fall into that category.
