i didn't give this any stars because i read it in school. i do not have much of a review for this because; Mr. Hone killed it, and kicked it while it was down, it is over refferanced now. Not to mention everyone book after this one in high school is comparred to this. I get it! its a good book, shut up. good for all seasons.

very simple read. i read it in less then a school week (so basically one could read it in a day or two). I read it before it became a mandatory read for juniors. In my sophomore year i chose it because it was the shortest book, for a book report (i grew out of that phase and idea). Once i got into it i realized it was a good story, great plot and ideas. Also a good use of symbols and all that literary tool jazz. I would recommend it as a summer read, something to pass the time while you wait for a friend to get out of work, or while you enjoy icecream on the beach, or hell tanning if you swing that way. highly recommended, basically, if you like a short quick read, but still provides a small challange in comparing it to our lives (like you would tale of two cities, brave new world, or 1984).

this is one of those books i read my senior year, so naturally i did not pay attention to the idea of the whole story, or actually read much of it. to be entirely honest. but i did pay attention enough and read a large portion of it, and i can say it is a good novel. This is one of those three book i read my senior and junior year. (along with tale of two cities and brave new world). good read, also talks about our future and where we are going, probably the most believable out of the three novels. this can be read any time of the year, if i remember correctly i read it in the spring of '08. a good time.

i read it for school (high school) like my junior year. So clearly i didn't like it, but not because of the book itself, but because i was a bad student and didn't like shit. But this book, along with two others from my junior and senior year, are the few that i can say are good. Not all that jazz about how our future will be (even though i do feel that way), i enjoy this book because it is a good winter read (as in, you probably want a few lonely night by the fire place to read it) one could read it at the beach, but personally i reserve novels like this for the cold winter nights.

humm. i have to do a seven page book report on this anyway, so that review will be on my blog. BUT; basically, it is a good book. once you reach the end, you wonder how the begining leda up to all these events. its very interesting and a good simple "summer read" as i would call it. you can read a lot or a little at the same time (so like at the beach, or relaxing at home taking the night off).

the fact that there is magic and spells in this book seem to be a poetic buzz kill, yet he makes it work it a very interesting way.
