The beginning was a bit slow, but it picks up and eventually you can't put it down. The ending was gripping and had me completely enthralled!

It was delicious, divine and decadent...Nora Roberts has done it again!!!This book was definitely worth the long wait. The laughs were good and so was the romance, I especially liked Laurel's character and the contrasts in her personality. This series really puts friendship and love in perspective. But the "icing on the cake" was the chemistry which she and Del had. I loved it and can't wait for the last book to come out. |

A Reader posted a review at 2010-08-02 01:39:45 for The Quinn Brothers.
(Language: English)
I absolutely loved this quartet which was recommended to me by a freind. Nora Roberts is phenomenal with her descriptions of emotions and feelings of the Quinn family. She captures the essence of family and home in a beautiful and charming way. The Quinn brothers were all extremely complex characters who had many likable qualities but the same time they were not perfect. Cameroon was the brawn, Phillip the brains, Ethan the glue that keeps them together and Seth their little brother. They are brothers of the heart and not blood. It was extremely interesting to read the tale of each brother and how they found love, coupled with fulfilling a promise to their father. They had to deal with raising Seth and starting of the Boats by Quinn - their boatbuilding company. Each brother finds love unexpectedly and surprisingly. The women in the story are different, unique and smart. Anna the sassy lawyer, Sybill the cool and collected one, Grace the girl-next-door and Drusilla the sophisticated florist. Each one has there own special charm, but all are independent and strong. It was a trully gripping series by a the Mistress of Romance...Nora Roberts! |

Although I read it when I was in primary school its definitely one of my Roald Dahl favorites. It was funny and intersting with a message which is eternally true.

This is definitely one of Grisham's best books. It was a really great read and a completely relevant book to our times. He nailed the essence of racial prejudice in a criminal case and trial with flair and logic.

A Reader posted a review at 2010-07-13 02:44:06 for Circle Trilogy.
(Language: English)
These three books were completely amazing & beyond comparison. The world which Nora Roberts created & her description of the story was no short of genius. The members of the circle, the legends, the myths & the magic make for an excellent setting filled with passion, romance, intrigue, love & hate. Morrigan's Cross & Dance of the Gods were quite enjoyable, but Valley of Silence was definitely the best out of the three. The characters were all admirable & interesting which provided excellent chemistry. However, my favorite was by far the dashing charming vampire Caine. I really loved the way she depicted him...with his wit, chivalry, arrogance & manipulative, yet complex mind. The love story between him & Moira was wonderfully magical & definitely paranormal. The vampire queen added color & spice to story in the role of the villain. This was a really good trilogy which had me hanging on right till the very end. They are my favorite books by Nora Roberts!!!

A Reader posted a review at 2010-07-13 02:07:14 for The Da Vinci Code.
(Language: English)
Dan Brown created a literary masterpiece which had me gripped till the very end. This novel was filled with all the ingredients required for a good read...mystery, murder & mayhem. The symbols, puzzles, codes & cryptography which are Dan Browns trademarks, added to the intrigue of the story & were fascinating once solved. It brings to light many controversial issues & draws on old beliefs & ideas that are forgotten. The sacred feminine, the Priory of Sion,& the master of disguise - Leonardo Da Vinci. The climax was totally unexpected & could never have been guessed by anyone. This page turner was worth every cent & excellent entertainment. The one common theme of this book was "Nothing is as it seems...look beyond the obvious." If you haven't read it u don't know what your missing.

I loved this book for the simple fact that it was the longest book in the series and because the mysteries surrounding the Boy-who-lived are somewhat revealed.
