Not the best read...struggled to finish it. Thought provoking as far as using physical punishment on kids. Felt it was lazy writing due to the constant use of bad language. Lost interest about 3/4 way through and lost how the characters tied together.

Better understanding of what it is like for women living in Afghanistan. Very sad and shocking in parts but uplifting in other ways.
