Another brilliantly written story by Rosie Thomas, this time set in Antartica. She describes it so well she must have been there. A gripping yarn ... a little improbable but none-the-less hugely enjoyable. A very satisfying ending. Highly recommended.

I have no interest in mountaineering or Everest, but this book is un-put-downable! I love the way the love story is almost incidental and how all the peices finally unravel and fit together. A favourite Rosie Thomas book. A real must read!A very good yarn, this book has it all - romance, danger, suspense and fantastic descriptions of what it is like to climb everest. A real page-turner that would appeal to both sexes. it keeps you guessing right to the end.

I liked this novel...very different and again very well researched and written (as are all her novels) A bit far-fetched in places, but a good absorbing read never-the-less.

I loved this book! Rosie Thomas is a really outstanding author....since reading this book I have gone on to read many others by her. Iris and Ruby is ai poignant tale about a grandmother and granddaughter, their shared life in Cairo and the beautiful descriptions of Cairo and the love of Iris' life in her youth.... the story is a series of flashbacks, and is beautifully written with a pleasing outcome.

(Language: English)
A light-hearted story about a Damian Lewis fan who is smitten by the real life actor and schemes ways to meet him. The story is purely fictional fantasy and is very readable, particularly if you are a DL Fan. Pure escapism..... I read it in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed it.

What else can I say - good light reading - gentle tale with fairly predictable outcomes, but nicely written and good bedtime reading.

Yet another sequel about the mountain folk - just as enjoyable as the other two. Like the recipes that appear every now and again...not that I cooked any of them!
