Not my favorite in the Sookie series. I don't get why she hooks up with Quinn. Their whole relationship was awkward and ended up going no where. Maybe she was just out to piss of her ex-vampire lovers, but it just didn't tie into the rest of the story. Stll a good read & you can't move on to the 7th book without this one!

Eric finally gets his time to shine! I didn't care much for Eric until this book. It was funny, sexy and just plain entertaining! This book really lays the ground-work for all the books that follow -- stiring things up among Eric, Sookie & Bill -- making for a very intersting plot development in the following books.

Great story & character development. I felt Edward and Bella were given way too much responsibility way too early. But, I suppose a family of vampires can help them through anything. The ending was a bit abrupt and a little too "Happily Ever After" (ironically enough, being the name of the last chapter). Good book, good story, still can't wait for the next!

So depressing & sad! The promise of a more exciting ending is the only thing that got me through the fist 3/4 of this book! The end is better. However, the relationship btw Edward & Bella is a little disturbing. She openly admits he is "her life" & clings to his very existence. Just seems like she's setting herself up for something horrible. (All the references to Romeo & Juliet don't help).

Steers clear of several vampire clichés (although, I enjoy most vampire clichés!)Definitely tame for the teen readers, but overall a great story that kept me hooked & really glad there was a sequel!

Amazing story about a guy who miraculously makes it through a troubled childhood relatively unscathed. It's really a remarkable story (a TRUE story)! Totally crazy memoirs of a child completely screwed by his mother and shrink. Very entertaining and pretty disturbing at times. Read the book, do NOT see the movie (it sucked)!
