Sorrowful tale of women growing up and coming of age in wartorn Afghanistan. Very heart wrenching tale of two different women's experiences, and how they become entangled under challenging points in their lives.

Fantastic read. Very enlightening tale about a boy and his friend growing up in Afghanistan and the future men they become. The graphic nature of this fictional account really brings the tragedy that has been Afghanistan to light.

I really enjoyed the entire series by both Frank and Brian Herbert (w/Paul Anderson). Every single book has twists and turns and draws the reader in. Started reading the series with this book back in the late 1970s and have been following it for 30 years.
