I think this is the best of Landvik's novels - at least so far.

Lorna Landvik writes very funny books about almost "ordinary" people. This one has been enjoyed by book groups too.

Beth posted a review at 2008-12-30 14:16:23 for Blood Orange Brewing (A Tea Shop Mystery).
(Language: English)
My copy came with a flaw - it repeated 30 pages at the end, but failed to finish the book. I did read it later - a borrowed copy. As far as the story - see my review of "Shades of Earl Grey".

The Tea Shop Mysteries are all a lot of fun to read - amusing people, interesting mystery and good recipes. Not great lit - but everything doesn't have to be.

Beth posted a review at 2008-11-05 20:51:27 for Death by Darjeeling (Tea Shop Mysteries).
(Language: English)
See review of "Shades of Earl Grey"While they are hardly "great" books, I enjoy the light mysteries in the Tea Shop series. The characters are nicely developed and fun to know. It is interesting to read about the Charleston "social" scene. And, finally, I really enjoy the recipes and tea recommendations. While all of the TeaShop mysteries are fun to read, this isn't the best of the group. TeaShop Mysteries are ALL fun to read. |
