Very GOOD book, no pun intended! Nick Hornby has a great writting style and hooks you from the first page, when we find our protaganist telling her husband over the phone that she does not want to be marrieds to him any longer while she is @ car park in Leeds. She finds it surprising that she IS evidently the kind of person who tells her husband she doesn't want to be married to him over the phone in a car park.

And so begins a journey into the marriage of Katie and David, as well as their two children, and other various sorted characters that all play a role in helping Katie come to terms with exactly what being "GOOD" means.

However, the author does a great job of not settling for the easy ending and resists the urge to go for the "happy" ending. He many time brings about a seemingly satisg=factory as well as rather spectacular set up with which he could close the book. He goes for an ending that may leave some upset. I for one like the ending it is "real" life.

This is a wonderful and easy read. Donald Macleod does a tremendous job of summarizing the Westminster Confession of Faith and putting it into an easy to read and understand format. The Westminster Confession is one of if not the top theological documents to ever to be written. Maclleaod does nothing to take away from it, but rather enhances it and presents it's subject matter in a form the average Christian, i.e. you and me can understand and benefit from.

This was a very good book. Chris Hedges has quickly become one of my favorite authors. His experience as a war correspondent gives his writing on this subject the 'gravitas' it deserves. This book lays bare the myths and hubris of war and the crowd mentality and rhetoric that accompanies conflicts everywhere. This book should be required reading in all high schools. It certainly will make you stop and take notice the next time you hear anyone talking about war or any of its derivitives.Read it today!!!

Excellent, short read. C.S. Lewis I believe gives us good picture of what heavena and Hell may be like. He certainly paints a vivid picture as he weaves the various stories of people and spirits he meets on this journey he makes in the book. Read this book. It is very good.
