(Language: English)
Really though. My favorite series, MAximum Ride, ust flipped me off. THe story is rediculously retarded, and doesn't really advance things at all. For instance, the past three books the FLock has beeen trying to save the world from an unknown threat, and they finally reveal it in this book. Is it a secret government plan? Is it aliens? Is it hell freezing over? No its f*cking GLOBAL WARMING! If it was crack addiction destroying the world it would have made a much better stoary. It could have been child molestation and made a better story! And on to the second problem. The powers the Flock gets are juyst blantly ridiculous and are useless. Like when Angel is stuck in a snow pit, she tries to use her new power, shapshifting, to get out, but shes still stuck. Fang's invisiblity goes away the second he moves, so he really only gets chances to use it to irritate people. Nudge's magnetic control is useless when they try to open a locked door. And one kid gets the power to, I sh*t you not, fart clouds of noxious gas. And the main villain is like a head attached to body parts. The series would be much better off without this.

Maximum Ride 2. Its pretty good, but the title doesn't actually match the entire book. Not that much actually happens in the story, but you don't really notice until someone points it out. The fans of part one will be presently surprised by part 2, so I give it a 4/5

I love this book, and i like Neil Gaiman, but some things in it are just done wrong. It has a wonderful story and amazing characters, but my biggest problem with this is the writing style. It's just not discriptive enough to really pull people in. I've seen the movie and i honestly like the movie better than the book. even though the movie had a bunch of unnescasary parts and characters that weren't in the book, the movie was great. and whoever got the idea to do it in stop motion is a genius. The book is not written well enough for its wonderful story, so I give it a 3/5

Demetri posted a review at 2009-05-15 10:35:12 for Excel Saga 8.
(Language: English)
Interesting at some points, but completely dull and uninspiring at others. If you have any thoughts of reading it, heres a tip. Do NOT go by the back of the book. They completely lie about everything, except for storyline. They talk about how it has so much raw cotroversal cotent they dare not put in the show, but all that's BULL! It's a 50/50 balance of entertaining and terrible constantly fighting each other within the pages. Some of it seems repetitive and cliche, but other parts are mildly resolving, so the beginning part of the Excel Saga series gets 2 1/2 out of 5.

Demetri posted a review at 2009-05-15 10:19:06 for The Eternity Code (Artemis Fowl, Book 3).
(Language: English)
This is the 3rd installment of the entire series. For most young adults, reading the first half of each Artemis Fowl book is intriguing, but with the second half, it continues to lack interest. It has an extremely interesting theme (of technologically advanced Fairies) but eventually it gets repetitive and predictable, and the story moves awfully slow for the most part. It's like Eoin Colfer just gives up halfway through each book. It seems so wonderful and amazing, but after... say about page 150, it just gets boring. 5.5/10

Demetri posted a review at 2009-05-15 10:12:42 for The Angel Experiment (Maximum Ride, Book 1).
(Language: English)
Maximum Ride is so far the best book series I've read. Author James Patterson creates a vivid world of emotion imagination and adventure. Once you read the first 15 pages of the first book, you'll be glued to the whole series. Perfect 10/10
