This is by far the best Pendergast novel of all. I don't want to spoil the ending, but the story leads you through all matter of clues, and innuendos, all of which tie together in an awe-inspiring conclusion, which is so utterly satisfying, that no other book I have ever read comes close. In a sense, this book ruined my ability to enjoy other new books, because none of them live up to the very high bar this book set for me. I absolutely love this book. The ending is simply superb.
