Howard Zinn is an heroic historian. I'm probably not qualified to give a real book review but I really love this book. The opening is as engaging as The Da Vinci Code! Unfortunately this is not fiction and that's what is so disturbing about it. I was watching Good Will Hunting recently and Matt Damon's character mentions this book in a session with his therapist who is played by Robin Williams. I didn't catch that the first time I had seen the film. If you are someone who cringes when your children have to celebrate Columbus Day in school you will enjoy this book.
