I like baseball. Quite a bit in fact. But I could take or leave the baseball-specific lessons in this book. But I did find two things interesting. First, that baseball was undergoing a "scientific/quantitative revolution", that the construction of a baseball roster was being cast as a constrained optimization problem and then solved. And second, that the advantage of the scientific approach gave someone over others who were non-practitioners was ridiculous. Science wins again!
