This is not a baseball book, per say. When I read this book three years ago, it actually created a sea-level change in the way I evaluated and qualified executive-level candidates for specific high-paced & high-stakes startup companies. Many of my CEO and VC clients engaged with me in this discussion about 'making the best fit for the goal we have' and we increased our completion time for searches and made better informed decisions because we had to get very specific about what we wanted to accomplish in what period of the startup's game. Reading this book, and then deeply contemplating how this relates to my own business of recruiting, selecting, benching, stretching and placement of the best fits for the job at hand - it has been a great tool in the toolbag. Recommend it to all business people.
