I became a major TR fan after having read this book. An amazing story about and amazing man.
This a great book that describes the early life of one of America's greatest presidents and certainly one of the most fascinating.
This is a very well written book. McCullough brings the young Theodore to life and shows him to be as fascinating as a child and young man as he was as a president. Even though he was from a "priviledged" family he was still very much a self-made man in both body and spirit. Truly one of the most interesting Presidents to date.
