Review of Somebody Else's Kids by A Reader

While I don't teach a special ed. class or kids like in the book, it reminded me of why I got into teaching. It is not the knowledge a teacher provides that is important, it is helping the kids come to believe in themselves as worthwhile people. Teaching is about relationships and building kids up. I recommend every teacher read this book and think about what they are doing in their classroom.
