A very disturbing subject makes for a disturbing read but a MUST read. Understanding the journey of this amazing woman is given to us with beauty, humour, sensitivity, & honesty. Dementia is feared and misunderstood. This book will open your mind and your heart!~ I couldn't put it down once started. ~ I found myself fearfully comparing my short-term memory lapses with Lydia's. ~ I felt that I was given a glimpse into how families of Alzheimer patients live with wondering if they will be afflicted. ~ I was left deeply affected & unable to read anything else for several days & my family doesn't even have a history of this! Today I put this subject away with gentleness and move on to lighter stories.
