An account of the Russian Revolution as seen through the eyes of John Reed, an American journalist. Reed captures the fervent political agitation on the streets of Petrograd. People would debate politics in lines to buy bread or while waiting for their soup in a restaurant. The book is well written and includes many proclamations and documents produced by the many political groups involved in the Revolution.
