Review of The Laramie Project by Kay

didn't like itit was okliked itloved itit was amazing
The moment work technique used in writing this play was exceptional. No scenes. Just moments revealing the attitudes and reactions of the citizens of Laramie during the murder of Matthew Sheperd.
What hit me the hardest were the moments reflecting the reaction of Matthew's mother to his death in the hospital and his father's statement which allowed the Aaron McKinney to receive life in prison instead of the death sentence. The emotion and depth of those moments make you feel like you were there. You're truly lost in WY, trying to understand both sides of the story and how a whole town was caught in between it all. Truly powerful.
