At first I loved the humor in this book, but after about a quarter of it, it got annoying. I continued to read the entire book, but I was truly making myself, only reading 20 pages at a time. I like Bill Bryson, but this book just went on and on. I realize our continent is "lost" but this book just made me feel down in the dumps. No thanks. I still want to read Bill Bryson books, but I would not recommend this one!
